CiS Gruppe veröffentlicht den zweiten UN Global Compact Fortschrittsbericht

“At CiS, values such as human rights, environmental protection, working standards and fighting corruption always play an important part,” emphasises Doris Wöllner, CSR Officer of the CiS Group. “For two years now, we have been an official member of the UN Global Compact and we have undertaken to promote these values in public, too.”

The CiS Group is an owner-operated company which has its headquarters in Krefeld, Germany, and production sites in Czechia and Romania, and currently employs over 1,100 employees in total.

In our second year of active membership, we have conscientiously engaged with the detail of the Global Compact guidelines and we are supporting the values of the Global Compact throughout the CiS Group on the basis of our deep commitment to them. We have undertaken to actively integrate the ten principles of the Global Compact into our corporate culture and our day-to-day business process and to work on this on a continuous basis.

Since the stated objectives of many governments throughout the world have been missed by considerable margins, business must get more intensely involved and make an active contribution. It is in the interests and in the hands of the respective decision-makers to conduct their business in a responsible way.
CiS has incorporated these values in its Code of Conduct and clearly puts its commitment to them into action in dealing with employees, business partners and the general public.

“We are firmly convinced that such statements should come from private enterprise in order to bring about changes on the government side,” explains Doris Wöllner, CSR Officer of the CiS Group.
