CiS Group publishes its sixth UN Global Compact Progress Report

CiS electronic GmbH is a medium-sized company in the field of connection technology in the electrical industry and employs over 1,000 people at its sites in Germany, the Czech Republic and Romania.

In the sixth year of our active membership, we continue to engage closely and in detail with the Global Compact guidelines and support the values of the Global Compact throughout the CiS Group.

"We are committed to actively integrating the ten principles of the Global Compact into our corporate culture and daily business processes – out of conviction. In September 2020, for example, the German branch association of Senate of Economy recognised us honoured us for sustainable climate protection with the 'Climate Promoter 2020/21‘ certificate. CiS electronic GmbH is the first German cable assembler to have been working climate-neutrally for a number of years. The CO2 emissions of all its German sites are rendered Co2-neutral2-neutral through a reforestation project already implemented by the World Forest Climate Initiative of the Senate of Economy. And this in a verifiable and certifiable manner.
We have drawn up our CiS Code of Ethics and Conduct for the entire CiS Group in order to make an active contribution to the protection of human rights, and this is binding on all employees as well as forming the basis for any cooperation.

The UN Global Compact is the world's largest initiative for responsible corporate governance and supports companies in aligning their strategies and activities with sustainability goals and the vision of the UN Global Compact. Based on 10 universal principles and the Sustainable Development Goals, it pursues a vision of an inclusive and sustainable global economy for the benefit of all people, communities and markets, now and in the future.
