Gas crisis: CiS Group comments on the current situation

Russia's ongoing war of aggression on Ukraine has implications for the whole of Europe and makes us look to the future with concern. The geopolitical upheavals endanger a stable energy and basic material supply. High burdens for industry and private households are to be expected.

The indirect effects of the crisis, such as disrupted supply chains and increased inflation, affect us all. However, CiS is not affected by direct effects of the crisis. The CiS Group does not require gas for production at any of its sites and is already working on solutions for gas-free heating at its sites, which should be implemented by the onset of winter if possible.

Furthermore, we do not purchase any products from Ukraine or Russia, nor do we have any active business relationships with Russian companies. The CiS Group complies with Council Regulation (EU) 2022/576 of 8 April 2022 amending Regulation (EU) No 833/2014 concerning restrictive measures in view of Russia's actions destabilizing the situation in Ukraine.

Nevertheless, we are always in close communication with our suppliers and partners and have taken measures to minimize risks in order to ensure production for you even in these challenging times.

That is why all our sites are located in safe EU countries, where we have the capacity to implement medium and large projects in the field of cable assembly and system technology in the short and long term in the highest quality. For this very reason, CiS was once again named one of the best employers in the world in 2021, as determined in the WCA audit by the independent auditor Intertek from London.
