What is an electromechanical component?
An electromechanical component is an electronic or mechanical component that represents the smallest unit within an electrical circuit and cannot be disassembled further. The term thus describes the individual components in electrical engineering or electromechanics. The term electromechanical components is also used as a synonym.
Active and passive electromechanical components.
A distinction is made between active and passive electromechanical components. Whereby passive components have constant and operation-independent electrical properties, but do not serve to control the electronics. In contrast, active electromechanical components actively contribute to the control of electromechanical assemblies.
