As the first climate-neutral cable assembly company, we offset all CO₂ emissions from our German sites through a certified reforestation project within the ‘World Forest Climate Initiative’ led by the Senate of the Economy. This underscores our commitment to a sustainable future.

Beyond offsetting, we actively strive to reduce our CO₂ emissions. Our holistic strategy focuses on energy efficiency, social and environmental responsibility, and CO₂ neutrality. These principles also define our supply chain requirements and product selection criteria.
Commitment Beyond CO₂ Reduction
Our dedication to environmental protection and sustainability extends beyond CO₂ reduction. We fully comply with international regulations such as REACH (Regulation No. 1907/2006) and RoHS (Directive 2015/65/EU) as a fundamental standard. These regulations enable us to minimize or properly declare the use of hazardous chemical substances, ensuring safety for both people and the environment.
Higher Standards for Suppliers
CiS actively ensures that all suppliers adhere to these environmental standards. Non-compliance with these regulations leads to sanctions to uphold standards. Additionally, we require our suppliers to comply with other national and international regulations, including the German Chemicals Prohibition Ordinance (ChemVerbotsV), the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG), and the German Battery Act (BattG).
