Cable assembler CiS electronic GmbH receives Power Supplier Award 2020 from WEINMANN Emergency GmbH

CiS electronic GmbH, a medium-sized company in the field of connection technology in the electrical industry, has been awarded the Power Supplier Award 2020 in the Electronic Components category by its customer Weinmann Emergency Medical Technology GmbH & Co.KG.

CiS won the award because their dedication and supply of cable assemblies have been instrumental in enabling Weinmann Emergency to supply its customers with ventilation products. Weinmann Emergency develops innovative medical products for ventilation and defibrillation that are used by rescue services, civil protection agencies and ambulance services. Together, we are making a difference in caring for COVID-19 patients and saving lives. CiS is one of 17 chosen suppliers to receive this award.

“We had to go to great lengths in our Czech plants to ensure supplies to our systemically important customer Weinmann. At the height of the pandemic, not only were schools and kindergartens closed, but surprisingly also the borders between the Czech Republic and Poland. This meant that our Polish employees were suddenly unable to start work. Of course, many of our employees had to look after their children at home.

Maintaining production became very challenging,” says Axel Vornhagen, Managing Director COO of CiS systems s.r.o. ”My appeal to our Czech employees and the local population to work overtime, extra shifts and weekends to ensure the supply of our system-relevant customers led to great solidarity and enormous commitment among our workforce.”
