The cable assembler CiS electronic GmbH, a medium-sized company specializing in connection technology for the electrical industry, has been honored with the "Power Supplier Award 2020" in the category of Electronic Components by its customer WEINMANN Emergency Medical Technology GmbH & Co. KG.
CiS received this award for its outstanding commitment and delivery of cable assemblies, which played a key role in enabling WEINMANN Emergency to supply its customers with essential respiratory devices. WEINMANN develops innovative medical products focused on ventilation and defibrillation, used by emergency services, disaster relief units, and medical corps. Together, we contributed to the treatment of COVID-19 patients and helped save lives. CiS was one of only 17 selected suppliers to receive this prestigious award.
“To ensure delivery to our system-relevant customer WEINMANN, we had to make extraordinary efforts at our Czech facilities. At the height of the pandemic, not only were schools and kindergartens closed, but unexpectedly, the border between the Czech Republic and Poland was also shut down. As a result, our Polish employees were suddenly unable to report to work. Many of our employees also had to care for their children at home. Keeping production going under these circumstances was a major challenge,” said Axel Vornhagen, Managing Director COO of CiS systems s.r.o.
