CiS electronic GmbH warmly congratulates 3M Deutschland on its 75th anniversary and wishes the company continued success, innovative strength, and a prosperous future.

With special appreciation, CiS also looks back on more than 50 years of collaboration with 3M. The partnership began in the mid-1970s with the first applications of the then innovative 3M Scotchflex IDC insulation displacement connector technology. This technology significantly simplified the processing of flat ribbon cables and set new standards for efficiency, precision, and reliability in industrial connection technology.

From the first joint projects, a trusting partnership developed over the decades, characterized by technological progress, a strong focus on quality, and a shared understanding of long-term collaboration.

“It was a great honor and pleasure for me to introduce this completely new technology in connection technology to the German market together with the colleagues from the 3M sales organization. Many joint trainings and customer visits led to lasting success. In the 1980s, we established the ‘3M Assembly Service’ to produce customized Scotchflex cable assemblies for 3M customers’ devices.”
