Fluctuations in the automotive market in recent years, combined with significant structural changes and inconsistent demand for labor-intensive cable assemblies on one hand, and rapid growth in the military sector on the other, have prompted CiS electronic GmbH to strategically realign its focus.

The Romanian production site, CiS automotive SRL in Copsa Mica, originally established to serve the high-volume automotive cable assembly market, will officially leave the CiS Group on February 7, 2025. It has been simultaneously transferred to the local managing director through a management buyout (MBO). All certifications remain in place. Customer orders were transferred from CiS automotive GmbH to the Romanian company, which now operates under the name “Paderteg Kabeltechnik SRL.” This transition ensured job retention on-site—an aspect of great importance to us—and safeguarded continued delivery to our customers.

CiS electronic GmbH, a specialist in industrial cable assemblies and system technology, will continue production at its highly successful Czech site, CiS systems s.r.o., and at the Krefeld-based HMI systems specialist, Zabel Technik GmbH & Co. KG.

Simultaneously, the CiS Group is expanding its strategic focus on the defense, aerospace, and aviation industries to meet the growing demands of these markets effectively. The Czech production site is currently in the process of VG standard certification for military applications.

Peter M. Wöllner, Managing Director of CiS electronic GmbH, explains:

“Our strategic realignment allows us to focus more precisely on the needs of our industrial customers and on growing market segments such as the technically demanding defense, aerospace, and aviation sectors. This strengthens the strategic development of the CiS Group, promotes sustainable growth, and reinforces our position as a reliable partner for highly specialized, customer-specific solutions.”

As a recognized brand manufacturer of cable assemblies, system technology, and mechatronics, CiS is committed to sustainable concepts, quality, speed, and reliability in the service of its customers. From the customer’s perspective, CiS ranks among the top providers in the market today. Customers particularly value CiS’s active contribution to reducing their total cost of ownership, thereby improving their competitiveness. CiS will continue to systematically expand its leading position in industries such as automation, finance, mechanical engineering, medical technology, control, measurement and regulation systems, transportation, rail technology, energy, environmental technologies, defense, and aerospace.

In 2024, CiS was once again recognized as one of the world’s best employers according to the WCA audit conducted by Intertek, London.
